Project Manager: Industrial
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the day-to-day operations of construction sites while adhering to management policies and procedures. Must have experience in Manufacturing and/or Industrial construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management, Cost Effectiveness
·Ensures proper bid package preparation
·Prepares and accurately tracking job cost
·Provides effective value engineering and estimating
·Ensure proper project buyout
·Effective change order administration
Project Management, Job Set Up
·Ensures proper submittal execution
·Ensures proper and efficient schedule preparation
·Ensures contract(s) execution
·Ensure effective and cost effective bidder selection
·Ensure effective buy out
Project Management, Construction Phase
·Ensure proper project set up
·Administers sub-contractor/change order administration
·Coordinates sub-contractors
·Monitors the schedule and ensure compliance
·Leads effective progress meetings
·Ensure appropriate material expediting to ensure schedule compliance.
·Effective use of integrated software
Project Management, Close Out Phase
·Ensures that all project files are archived
·Performs subcontractor close out
·Monitors Punch list and ensures completion in a timely manner
·Obtains favorable customer referral for company
·Ensures collection of all warranty and manuals for distribution to owner
·Obtains satisfactory personal referral from customer.
Project Team Management
·Adheres to safety and health rules
·Creatively and collaboratively develops ideas
·Reports/directs correction of safety problems
·Clearly express ideas, information, and tasks
·Subcontractors adhere to safety regulations
·Effective communication with owners
·Ensures an orderly jobsite
·Effective communication with sub-contractors
·Planning and organizing work
·Effective communication with associates
·Directing and controlling workflow
·Effective communication with management
·Adherence to company policies & procedures
·Regularly and equally evaluates associates
·Skillfully handles conflict situations
·Staff development
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Directly supervises project team members.
·Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
·Responsibilities include interviewing and making hiring recommendations to the Project Executive; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
·Fourth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $90,000-$115,000
